American Idol Judge Randy Jackson Was in the Band “Journey”

Back in the day, Jackson was a pretty accomplished bass guitar player believe it or not. He was a member of Journey for two years and helped to record their 1986 album “Raised on Radio”, which went multiplatinum, selling over 2 million copies.

Randy has played and/or recorded with countless musicians, including Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Madonna, Billy Joel, Aretha Franklin, and Bob Dylan.

He also performed a couple of shows with Whitesnake in the ‘80s when their regular bassist broke his arm! He is also in high demand as a producer, Working with “Whitney Houston”
